great guest professor! i really enjoyed his lecture. it was much different than other discussions and lectures we have had so far. i liked that Jim Dator talked about the american political system. when i signed up for this intro class, i was expecting to learn more about our political system; don't get me wrong, i really like learning more about futureS! but knowing more about our current government and how it came about is helpful and useful knowledge as well. it's good to learn/know about the past and present so that we can better look into or imagine what we want the future to be like.
